Born and raised in California, Dr. Britton enjoyed living and going to school in many parts of the country. After graduating from Midland High School, he attended Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where he earned a B.S. in Health Sciences. Dr. Britton then completed the four-year Doctorate of Dental Surgery program at the No. 1 ranked dental school in the country at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he earned numerous awards. He then completed his three-year orthodontic specialty residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, which has a history of being one of the best programs in the country. He returned to San Antonio to teach part-time at the dental school and to practice orthodontics. In addition to his teaching position at San Antonio, Dr. Britton maintains an adjunct teaching position at University of North Carolina. He has also lectured to his colleagues both nationally and internationally. He has been in private practice since 1997.

Dr. Britton resides in San Antonio with his wife, Edie. Aside from his love of orthodontics and teaching, he spends a great deal of time volunteering with youth for the annual GOLD Youth Leadership Seminar. In his free time, he enjoys water skiing, working out, good movies and the latest computer technology.
